Microsoft Office Desktop and 365

In recent builds, Office's icons have a new, clean and flat appearance in your Start Menu and task bars.

To view your software's version number, select:

  • File ribbon
  • Account (towards the bottom on the left)
  • About Word (lower right side of the dialogue box). Check both the version and build numbers.

Above is the desktop permanent version as of February 2023.

Enterprise and permenent desktop versions will have slightly different version and build numbers.

PDF Maker plug-in for MS Office (Win)

Version 22 PDF / PDF Library 22.3.98 — released Oct 2022

This information isn't readily available to us, but it's not tough to discover which version of PDF Maker is on your workstation.

  1. Make a quick PDF from your version of MS Word.
  2. Open the PDF in Acrobat, and view the File / Document Properties.
  3. Look for:
    • Application
    • PDF Producer

PDF Maker is available only on Windows, not on Apple products.
