The Corcoran College of Art and Design,
officially founded in 1890, is the only professional and fully accredited
college of art and design in Washington, D.C. A full-time, four-year professional
Bachelor of Fine Arts program is available in three majors, Graphic Design,
Fine Art, and Photography. Each major offers additional concentration
options. The college also offers classes through its popular Division
of Continuing Education program, known to many as the Open Program, providing
a wide range of courses in art and design for all ages.

The Art Institute of Washington prepares
students for careers in the visual and practical arts. It is a branch
of The Art Institute of Atlanta and offers two levels of degrees: Associate
of Arts degrees in Culinary Arts, Graphic Design, and Multimedia &
Web Design; and Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in Graphic Design and Media
Arts & Animation. The Art Institute of Washington programs of study

The Maryland Institute, College of Art,
established in 1826, is the oldest independent, degree-granting, fully-accredited
art college in the nation. Located in the historic Bolton Hill neighborhood
of Baltimore, the Maryland Institute offers Bachelor of Fine Arts, Master
